As described by Al Ries and Jack Trout in their book Positioning: The Battle for your Mind “…positioning is used as a communication tool to reach target customers in a crowded marketplace.” (Ries, A., & Trout, J. (2001)). Upon research I found that outside of local schools and known organizations like the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, there are several local art studios offering similar services. After interviewing a few potential clients and reviewing the websites of these local artists, the previous quote rang true. In order to reach customers, I had to and will continue to look at ways in which my services differ. Keeping in mind two important factors to the clientele- time and service quality. I want to ensure that I am making the most of my time and resources and more importantly that the customers get the services they want and deserve. In the link below, I have reviewed key factors in which my services will be both similar and different from others.
